Samstag Abend in der Videothek: Actionstreifen, Thriller oder unterhaltsame Komödie? In welchem Regal würden wohl die Hot Bananas stehen, wenn sie ein Film wären? Ob diese Frage je beantwortet wird, wissen wir nicht. Was aber außer Frage steht: Der Soundtrack dazu ist hochexplosiv! Wenn die zwei Kult-DJs Wochenende um Wochenende ihre Anhänger gewohnt zuverlässig um den Verstand bringen, durchlebt die Crowd alle Steigerungsformen von „verrückt sein“. Mission: „to be banana“! Das Rezept dafür beinhaltet neben einer großzügigen Ration House und Electro auch noch klar erkennbare Spuren von Disco, Pop und Break Beat. Mit heißen Scratches, Samples und abgedrehten Effekten runden die zwei hotten Jungs ihren Auftritt ab.
Seit 2010 tüfteln D.I.C. und Jason Amador auch fleißig an eigenen Tunes. Mit ihrem ersten Werk, der Vocalhouse-Bombe „Reach Out For The Sun“ erklommen die Hot Bananas zahlreiche DJ-Charts und knüpften mit dem Follow-Up „Get Started!“ nahtlos an die Erfolge an. Zusammenarbeiten mit internationalen Künstlern wie Sänger Corey Andrew, aus der der Hot "Dog Catcher" resultierte, oder mit David Puentez, der ihre aktuelle Hitsingle "Lonely Little Dancer" remixte, verhalfen den Hot Bananas zu internationaler Bekanntheit. Ein Ende des Hypes ist nicht in Sicht. Denn wie jeder gute Film verzichten auch die Hot Bananas auf ein vorhersehbares Ende. To be continued...

Hot Bananas – sounds crazy, is crazy! In fact the name derives from the expression “to be banana” and hits the spot. Nowadays the two charismatic DJs from East Germany attained a certain cult status and inspire the mass with their distinctive sound. They are using different genres, mixing Disco House, Electro, Pop and Break Beat to create a unique atmosphere. After all years of excessive Parties and so much gigs, Hot Bananas are experienced enough to know how to make people dance and to turn every party into a highlight. Hence they played countless sets in varied locations in Saxony, Berlin, Brandenburg and Thuringia, accompany the successful Vegastars and are resident DJs in one of the best clubs in East Germany: CLUB L1 Leipzig. Furthermore they came off as winners of numerous DJ Battles by enhancing their sets with scratches and special affects. Since 2010 Hot Bananas work on their own tracks and produce the following releases: "Lonely Little Dancer", "Get Started!", "Dog Catcher" with Corey Andrew and "Lonely Little Dancer".
